Unique science laboratories, robotics lab, experimental theater and a rooftop sports ground with heating – Pioneer Group has completed the construction of the educational complex in the LIFE-Botanic Garden quarter.
The building of a school and a kindergarten with the area of 18.3 thousand square meters is designed for 550 schoolchildren and 240 kindergarteners. The British network of schools Brookes Education Group was chosen as the operator of the complex, working under the international baccalaureate program with five operating branches around the world.
Classrooms represent are a dynamic space that can be easily transformed depending on the format of the lesson with the use of modern ergonomic furniture. The classrooms of natural sciences are actually full-fledged laboratories with a full range of technical equipment.
Traditionally, Brookes Education Group pays great attention to the creative development of the children. That’s why the new Brookes Moscow school has an assembly hall for 365 seats, several music and singing rooms, a dance hall for classical ballet classes, needlework and carpentry workshops, a culinary class. Students will be able to visit the robotics room, where various equipment is installed, including 3D printers, laser machines, plotters. Also, the school will open a unique experimental theater in the black box format – a small room with black walls, a mobile stage, the necessary light / sound equipment and spectator seats. Classes on drama and music will be conducted in conjunction with a partner of Brookes – British theater studio Flying Banana Theater.
Brookes Moscow offers a variety of opportunities for sport development. The complex has three sports halls, including a large hall with a ceiling height of 9.3 m and bleachers for fans for 140 seats, a hall with the area of 330 square meters to conduct martial arts training, as well as a universal room for preschoolers. On the roof of the building there is a court for playing mini-football, equipped with a heating system, so that children can practise at any time of the year. Particular emphasis will be placed on water sports. The school has a large swimming pool measuring 25X8 m, there will be swimming, water polo and water volleyball classes. Modern systems of timing and competition results registration, starting podiums with false start sensors are installed. The second pool, 7X3 m in size and 700 mm deep, is located in the kindergarten block and is designed to teach the kids basic swimming skills.
The Brookes Moscow educational complex will receive its first students and kindergarten pupils in the new academic year 2018-2019.
